1What is 343 Labs?
343 Labs is a music production and DJ school in the heart of New York City. We teach Ableton Live, Logic Pro, DJing, sound design, mixing and mastering, vocal production, music theory and more — across genres like house, techno and trap. We’re an Ableton-Certified Training Center, with more Ableton Certified Trainers than any other school worldwide.
2Where are you located?
Our NYC studio is at 119 W 23rd St #902, New York, NY 10011, in the Chelsea / Flatiron area. Many of our courses are also available online (see Q5).
3Do I need any prior experience?
No. Our beginner courses — like Ableton Beginner — are built for people starting from zero, with no prior music or production experience needed. We also offer intermediate and advanced courses for producers who already have the fundamentals.
4What do I need to bring?
Just your own laptop. You’ll work in your DAW during class, and enrolled students get a 50% discount on Ableton Live as well as many other software brands.
5Are classes in person, online, or both?
Both. You can learn in person at our NYC studio, or take courses online and study with our trainers from anywhere.
6Who teaches at 343 Labs?
Our instructors are working artists and Ableton Certified Trainers — active producers and performers, not career educators. You learn current, real-world workflows from people releasing and performing music themselves.
7How big are the classes?
Classes are kept deliberately small, so you get hands-on attention and lots of direct interaction with your instructor.
8What do courses cost, and can I pay in installments?
Prices vary by program. For example, our Ableton Beginner [NYC] course is $2,295, with an early-bird price of $1,945. Monthly payment plans are available through Affirm, and each course page lists its own price and dates.
9Do I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete a course you receive a Certificate of Completion from 343 Labs as an AbletonCertified Training Center.
10What is your refund and transfer policy?
For standard courses: a full refund (minus a $200 fee) is available up to 30 days before the course starts, or within 24 hours of payment; 75% up to 14 days before; 50% within 14 days before and before the second class begins; no refund once the second class has started. You can transfer to another course until the third class begins, for a $150 transfer fee. Workshops, bundles and summer programs have separate terms — see the full policy at 343labs.com/refund-policy.
