Rhythm and harmony
Rhythm, beats and the keyboard: Make beats in different styles and learn the keyboard.
Scales, major and minor: Build scales and intervals in multiple keys.
Introduction to harmony: Build triads and chord progressions.
Melody, bass and form
Bass and basslines: Write basslines that fit the harmony and groove.
Melody: Compose melodies that work with your chords.
Musical form and structure: Structure a track with verses, choruses and drops.
Arrangement
Instrumentation and arrangement: Use inversions, voicings and layering for tension and release.
Creating a track: Compose and produce a complete track from scratch.
Depth and finishing
More drums in depth: Add fills, swing and percussion for interest.
Ear training and analysis: Work out keys, chords and drum patterns by ear.
Final presentations and review: Present your track and get feedback.
